The Story Behind WarmPath

After building and selling estaff365 to Bullhorn, Evan spent years talking to recruiting firm owners. The same frustration came up again and again:

"We make a great placement. The client is thrilled. The candidate is happy. Then... nothing. We move on to the next deal. Six months later, we realize that candidate knew three other hiring managers we were trying to reach. By then, it's awkward to ask."

The problem wasn't willingness to refer. Research shows 83% of people are happy to make introductions. The problem was timing and friction:

  • Recruiters forget to ask during the honeymoon period (Day 30-90)
  • When they remember, they don't know WHO the person knows
  • Even if they ask, there's no proof the referral target is hiring
  • The manual effort required means only 29% of potential referrals actually happen

WarmPath solves all of this. We combine timing intelligence (knowing WHEN to ask), network mapping (knowing WHO they know), and intent signals (proof they're in-market) into one platform that makes asking for referrals effortless.

We're launching in 2026 with 40+ design partners. This is the product we wish had existed when we were building estaff365.
